The Sphynx originated in the 1960s in Canada, when a natural genetic mutation produced hairless kittens. Selective breeding refined their unique appearance, and the breed is now recognized worldwide for its wrinkled skin and prominent features.
Personality-wise, Sphynx cats are affectionate, playful, and highly people-oriented. They love warmth and often seek out human contact, enjoying cuddles and companionship. Active and mischievous, they are social cats who thrive on attention and interaction.
